Critical problem with starting games!

    Hi..I am desperate for help on this one! Medieval 2 the patched version started having problems launching...would get a "demoshield player has encountered a problem" and program would shut down! We uninstalled the patched version , reinstalled Medieval 2 but the game still will not start..same message! Also now NONE of the Total war games we own will start up ( we have them all!!) Can find no answers as to how to fix this problem anywhere else...hope someone can help . .. we are not terribly tech savvy so hopefully if there is a fix it will be something we can understand!! ANY help would be appreciated!!! PS all the games previously worked just fine so the computer is capable of playing them.

    First, have you gone and posted this question in the Medieval 2 Offcial boards? Done a "search" through the Medieval 2 forums? You may find answers and suggestions from the other players there in whatever they call their "Unoffcial Tech Help" board.

    It might have been a corrupted files down too.
