Hi, I have 2 PC's connected directly via a crossover cable LAN. I can ping each but not with computer names. I can't see other PC's in My Network Places or workgroup folder. I can't do any shares either. I have: disabled firewalls; run network setup on each; enabled NetBios. Please help.

Make sure both computers are in the same workgroup.
If you want to share internet, make sure internet connection
    sharing is enabled.
Internet connection sharing will also set the computer connected
to the internet as the DHCP server and automatically assign an
IP address to the second computer.

What firewalls? You may need to properly configure or uninstall them.
