I don't know exactly what ctfmon.exe does, but I know I hate it. I tell it not to run on startup, it does anyways! What is bringing this annoying process back, and how do I kill it? Thanks.

Here is a bit of info on ctfmon

ctfmon - ctfmon.exe - Process Information

Process File: ctfmon or ctfmon.exe
Process Name: Alternative User Input Services

Description:
ctfmon.exe is a part of the Microsoft Office suite. It activates the Alternative User Input Text Input Processor (TIP) and the
Microsoft Office XP Language Bar. This program is a non-essential system process, but should not be terminated unless suspected to be causing problems.

Seems it is used by MS Office programs

You can find more http://support.microsoft.com/?kbid=282599

Hope that helps

Just leave it alone because it'll keep rechecking itself.

The link that Davey gave you will answer several questions about that file.
