I don't know if this is a Vista Home Premium problem or Windows Mail, but since it seems to involve many Programs, I classified it here.

Every time I type anything, the cursor jumps around like it has a mind of its own, splitting words in the middle w/ new typing, dropping letters, dropping Capital letters, etc.:(

I didn't think I was that terrible at typing !

Well, I unclicked "Enhance pointer precision". Problem still persists.

Perhaps, I need to do a restart. I'll try that now.

    What are the others?

hi sorry i did not mean you to uncheck pointer precision this is best to be enabled, have a look around in the mouse properites page, you will see all the options in there same place you where, you might also try a driver update and see if that helps

I'll recheck "pointer precision", do a mouse driver update & have a look at all the other mouse properties options.

    Thanks for your suggestions.

If this is on a laptop are you sure you are not dragging your thumb(s) across the touch pad?

Yeah, I've been through that drill. Wish it were something simple like that. Besides, it's a Toshiba A215-S5818 & I called Toshiba. Disabled the touch pad (using a MS Wireless Mouse) like I was told - Fn-F9 or whatever I was told.

    Good thought, though.

P.S. How does WIN 7 work? Bugs?

I tend to have the same problem. acer suggested that I do a rollback on my cursor driver and it helped for a while. It has begun to act up again so I may retry it. If you find a solution, please let me know. Good luck;)

Could be something interfering with the Wireless mouse.
