>custom Computer Price Ranges?????

    :confused: I have a laptop and its crappy so i want to get a desktop becuase of its room for upgrades laptops are set to there specs forever cant upgrade witch sux *** To think u pay 1500 $ for a laptop that is out of date in like 6 months so anyways desktop is the way to go. My question is i have a couple of buddys that will build a custom computer from the ground up start with a tower shell ect..... i want to know what a cusom comp with the specs detailed below cost if i got it all at a good price (dosent have to be exsact but give me a general price range. THX :D If the specs are not enough to see the price then i just want good gameing computer with alot of ram and a good video card :D

    OK, kiddo,

    Memory 2.5 Gigs ? Whazzat ?
    RAM: 512
    Display: Doesn't matter unless you're buying it new. Figure $300
    40 Gig HDD... maybe $60
    DVD-CD-R/W I got mine for about 50 bucks. But you need another CD-rom,
    ---figure $25

    All memory these days is DDR. 512 Megs will set you back about $50
    An AMD processor 220+ is cheap. Go for the Intel 4 - figure $150
    Video card - Gamer, eh ? That's where the rubber meets the road. You
    want a 128 Meg as a minumum. Probably about $120 fer starters.
