Made a mistake by installing the driver off my NeroCD to get my {E:} drive to work. Now my drives (D:\{Primary} & E:\{Secondary})are stuck in MS-DOS mode {very, very slow}. I've disconnected both drives and rebooted, she boots up just fine. But reboot with just my CD-ROM {D:}, I'm back in DOS.
I'm running;
Windiws 98 SE
Systemax System
550Megahertz AMD K6 w\3DNow
128Mega. installed memory
{D:\} CD-Rom; ATAPI CD-R\RW (master)
{E:\} Sony CD-RW CRX230E (slave)
Now go to my computer right click and hit Properties\
Then System Properties\ Performance and under details I get;
Drives (D:\ & E:\)
"are using MS-DOS compibility mode file system".
I may be wrong, but if I could get them off this DOS mode everything should return to normal (what ever that is, Ha!). I also tried my Driver Resources CD which should over write my Drives, but can't get it to boot up.
The wife and I would love any help, seeing it is her computer I really need to get back in operation. Thanks for any help.
