    I've a Pirelli modem-router and I'd like to connect a D-Link dwl-2100ap as access point (operation mode= access point).

    Details:

    • I connected 2100ap to Pirelli through an ethernet cable
    • 2100ap has a dynamic ip provided by Pirelli's dhcp
    • Pirelli and D-Link 2100ap have same SSID, same encryption (wpa) and same pw but, probably, different channel (both on "auto channel scan").
With a notebook on the wan I can ping the 2100ap, I can access to its setting pages but if I go close to it (far away from Pirelli) I don't see any network with the notebook, in other words the D-Link doesn't work as access point.

    Am I missing something ?
