D:Not accessible incorrect function

    I am trying to copy files/folders to a disc, but each time I do so I get the error message "D:not acessible, incorrect function. Using Windows XP.Went via device manager and all is working properly. can anyone help?

    You cannot copy data to a CD-R or DVD-R disc like you can with a USB thumb drive or a floppy disk.

    You need to use a disc burning program to burn the data to the disc.

    Ashampoo Burning Studio Free 6.83.4312 is a free and very user-friendly one that I personally use.


    Is the D: drive in your computer capable of burning discs?

    Is it a standard CDROM or DVDROM drive or is it a CDRW or DVDRW drive?
