Data Lost

    Hello, recently I bought a Dual 2.5"/3.5" IDE SATA Hard Drive Disk All In 1 Clone Dock Station
    and when i put the hdd inside it burn and make a lot of smoke I lost all the data on it.
    what should I do?

    You could send it to a data recovery company, it's nearly impossibly to recover data off a modern drive if the controller has failed.

    I also would throw the dock out.

    You can ask some manual data recovery companies, but in general the price is expensive .

    Disassemble the external case and remove the hard drive. Test the drive by connecting it to another PC. If the drive still works, your data is safe.

    Know more how? The drive is damaged, it needs to have a circuit board replaced and the ROM ship moved over from the old board if it's not fired too. This is something a professional recovery company pretty much needs to do. If someone is asking on a forum what to do then changes are you are not equipped to perform this repair/recovery or they would already know what to do.

    Did you actually read his post? What external case? The O/P doesn't have an external case to disassemble. If you read his post carefully you will note that he has a dock that he put a hard drive into. Then he got smoke and said he lost all his data on the drive.
