data security program?? anyone

im looking for a program which will protect data i put on a cd, it's allowed to be read by anyone but it cant be reproduced in any way. so i can distrubute it but not hav it stolen and distributed by other people.

Hiya

You could encrypt the files using a program such as PGP http://www.pgpi.org/

You will create a passkey for the encyption and you could send users this key, as this is safer, or you could just email the phrase. This will then allow them to received the CD, but not view any contents until they enter the passkey. Apparently, is unhackable.

Or, you could look here for anything that tickles your fancy

personally, I would go for PGP, but thats just my opinion. Its pretty indepth, but then thats what you'll be wanting, I assume.

so will any of these programs let people, for instance, veiw a video i put on there but not be able to copy it to the hard drive or just plain copy the disk with a burning prog.??

thanks for all u guys and gals help, ill use a variaty of different things to try and stop someone pirating the stuff i put on it.
