I've never tried this so I can't give more details. What I usually do is use an external hard drive and then copy from the old laptop to that one, and then copy from that one to the new laptop. That way, I also have a backup of the old laptop in case something goes wrong.
OneDrive has 5GB free, but may have more space depending if you have an Office365 account. It should be fine unless you cancel your microsoft account.I discovered that buying this new computer I have space in a one drive folder so I’m using that. Will that expire and delete files or will I be okay?
