I am not network oriented. but my boss ask me to research on this one.
I have our application service running on the server and accessing to db
in side of this machine. I have to come up with solution for the fault tolerance

I want to have to computer(servers) mirroring each other.
this includes both database and service. currently we are targetting
    oracle db for application use.

when one goes goes down the other takes other ip address and perform
    the operation.

I found a lot of stuff can do file mirroring and database mirroring but not
    service.

any one has dramatic solution for this. I heard Active Directory can do this
    I am not sure yet

Thanks in advance and sorry for my poor english
