What I want to do is make a web page linked to an online database

It is for the Hedgehog site and what I want it to do is eventually contain a list of hedgehog and other wildlife rescue siites or people that a visitor can search and find a local centre. BUT that ANYBODY can upload to and all the info displayed without me having to type in a long list and that will allow me to edit it to remove unsuitable entries

something like a simple form with name/address, phone number, what type of animals helped, web site, etc.

Then the whole lot displayed in a table form whenever anybody accesses the web page with the submit section either at the top or the bottom

Anybody got any ideas on free software to do this or wants to make it for me

I have a mysql database enabled on my space to use

You may want to rethink your allow ANYBODY to upload to your site as this will cause you more administration hassles than managing it with sign ups and allowing registered users to upload.

The software is free and there for you to make it. I am sure your site also allows for PHP scripting. Look up "free php member site application" in Google and I am sure you return hundreds of scripts that may work for you.

That's OK

I have manged to do something with an online database that the webhosts provide, but hide away so you can't find it easily

www.thehedgehog.co.uk/db.htm

It works well enough for what I want, though I would have preferred a full integration into the site, that is sufficient for now
