Date Format with Mailmerge from Access to Word 2013

Am using a database with Access for Holiday bookings - a routine was written some time ago to create a FORM to input the data (name address and date etc) to link Access & Word with a Particular Word Doc that was confirmation of the Holiday Booking

The routine automatically uses MailMerge to insert the date of the booking

Sadly I can't change it from American Date to UK Date. In the FORM in Access, the date is in UK format

Any ideas ?!
