can anyone tell me why my date/time settings must always be reset everytime i turn on my computer????? it just started happening....if i leave the computer on, everything is will remain correct...it's only when i turn the computer off and then turn it back on at a later time. it always resets to january 1, 1999 1200am. I have to go to my Control Panel to correct the date/time everytime I turn it on.

Agreed with that dead CMOS battery. The battery is only suppose to last for 10 years.
