I cant seem to find too much on this subject, but apparently, since MS does not support Win98, they wont sanction an update for the new DST issue.
    My question is this:
What effect will the lack of applying the patch to Win98 systems have o such systems? If the only impact would be to manually change date and time, I think it might be worth not trying to apply a non-MS patch.
Any thoughts or suggestions is apprecited.

I have a registry file that I built for NT4 and 2000 machines (which are no longer supported by Microsoft) that corrects the date for the four continental US time zones. I'm in the process of rolling this out to over 1000 NT4 and 2000 computers and so far have had no problems.

I have not tested this in Windows 9x.
