Hi everyone, I am looking at disposing of a few ancient CPUs at the office and the usual question of making sure no one can retreive data is concerning some people.

The best option I have come accross is this "DBAN" tool I researched on the Internet.

Has anyone used this tool? Does it work accross different Windows OS's?

Any hints, tips or tricks in going about data illimination before safely disposing of old CPUs?

    Thanks

If you run DBAN on the disk, the data is GONE! :D It's a bootable disk, and it doesn't matter what was on the disk before, Windows, Linux, Unix, brand-x.
