I shut my computer off every night, sometime during the day if I'm not going to be on it for a few hours. A couple of times a week, upon shutdown, there is a DDE Server Window not responding error that stops shutdown until I tell it to "end program."

Can anyone tell me what this is, and if there is anything that needs to be done to fix it?

Hmmm....well, it seems to me that all that will do is to make windows shutdown/restart a lot faster. But wouldn't it be better to find out WHY the DDE Server window is not responding at times? Isn't that (link you gave) just going to mask what the real problem is? If it's something important, might it not start causing worse problems?

Start > Run > eventvwr.msc > copy and paste some of the recent errors [Red]
