    Hi,
What Operating System are you running?
    When did it start?
What are you doing when you get the error message?

Go to Start > Programs > Accessories > System Tools and System Restore, Click next and see if you have a restore point yesterday, if you do, highlight it, click next and restore to it.
Very good chance it will fix your problem.

wow, sorry, you mentioned that twice and I didn't notice.
Can you get into safe mode or to your desktop at all.
Have you tried your startup disk?

    Here's a suggestion.....

    Start-Run--MSCONFIG

on the "General" tab, place a dot next to "Selective Startup" then UNCHECK "Load Startup Group Items", then APPLY and OK.

Say yes to the reboot and see if that solved it!

    Good Luck!
