Does anyone know who buys this RAM? I can't seem to find a motherboard that supports this speed.. Is it for overclocking? Also, what is DDR2, (the 240 pin memory..) Is this also system memory? I can't find a motherboard for either of them, and I'm very curious about who buys them and for what =|.

Yes, DDR600 would be for extreme overclocking.

DDR2 on the otherhand is the next generation of DDR RAM. It is commonly used on new Intel socket 775 boards with the 900 series chipset.

DDR600 RAM is rated at up to 300MHz, which is the ideal speed if you're overclocking an 800FSB P4 to 1200FSB. Anything above DDR400 is aimed at overclockers.

DDR2 RAM is the sequel to DDR RAM, used in the latest P4 boards. I haven't seen any AMD boards that take it yet.
