I have an LG monitor, and there's a seemingly dead pixel, halfway up the screen, with a 'halo' of dimmer LED's around it. It never seems to go away, except when I go into full screen, in things like Youtube, when I exit the desktop or borderless window into true full screen, so it seems to be related to the desktop? If anyone has had anything similar, or knows what it actually is and/or how to fix it, if it is possible, it would be greatly appreciated.

I've never seen what you are describing.

A "dead" or "stuck" pixel will ALWAYS be the same. It will be that way in the BIOS, during boot, and even in the OS. Nothing will change it.
