Is there a really mature teacher here who can teach geriatrics & kids?

All I want is to learn to crop these Near-Colorless spectacles:

But only if you have the Gimp-teaching style of:
David Ludlow and tutor4u on YouTube - see:

OR - any Ludlow-Type-Teacher giving demo of this Automobile cropping?

    P.S. Some background:

I'm wanting to enter a contest. I only have until the end of December.
I tried hard to learn over the course of more than a month, attempting Serif & Inkscape, ...then On Nov.17th, tried this Techguy forum, then decided to rush over to a dedicated Gimp forum, hoping for the quickest route to learning Gimp (see the close to 70 posts below)
    http://gimpforums.com/thread-any-child-level-tutorial-to-accomplish-this?pid=23917#pid23917

At this point, I'm nearly as ignorant as when I started more than a month ago.
Is hardly anyone today over 40 years old - plus my style of learning?

Please do not start more than one thread for the same issue.

    Closing duplicate.
