Hi, I set my Outlook in windows XP to accept Chinese language. 90% of time, I have no problem receiving emails in Chinese. However, there are times I received all bunch of symbols which are not Chinese. The person who uses a bilingual window system types in Chinese and sends the email out to me, but all I get is symbols that Outlook does not sometimes recognize to decode those symbols to Chinese. I am not talking about TRANSLATING but DECODING. My Outlook and Control Panel are all set to decode Chinese, but how can I get them all decoded?

There are a lot of things that can go wrong with character encoding. Could you possibly post a small bit of the text so someone here might have a look at it and figure out what might be the problem?

What program/service is the sender using to send the e-mail? What version of Outlook do you have?
