I recently moved my box to a mates place for a LAN session. At these sessions i disable my wireless adapter and enable my LAN adapter. When i come back home i disable the lan adapter and re-enable the wireless.

Last night after re-enabling the wireless my signal is shot to hell. I can't keep the connection open or if it does the speed drops down so bad that even a google search takes longer than making of a cup of coffee. I used to have the full 54Mbs (streaming HD episodes of Deadliest Catch no problems), but now its giving me 36Mbs in status, and the actual transfer is far slower. Nothing has changed except the fact that i physically moved my computer elsewhere and then put it back.

I'm getting a signal strength of 96% and the SSID is broadcasting fine. I've tried a couple of different aerials and checked the settings are still where they were on both my PC and the router.

Now normally i'd leave my system specs and the router specs, but i'm not looking to get my settings checked, i just want to know if anyone else has had similar problems from physically moving thier box. And if so, how did you solve it?

P.S. My PS3 isn't having any problems... Using its internet browser to watch some Mythbusters right now. They're pretty much right next to each other so my PS3 and PC are both equidistant from the router...
