    When I forward something,it always goes through Gmail (not by my choice).

    OK, so your mail default is to use a browser (IE) and there is some setting telling the browser to use your gmail account instead of the Yahoo! account. Someone probably knows what that setting is, and how to change it, but I do not.

    Or maybe I do? This article seems to say that you can set it pretty much the same way you would set an email client. See if it works for you.

    You have no default email client because you haven't installed one (Thunderbird or Windows Live mail). Just don't use the button.
