Delete unopened emails

    Could someone please tell me how to delete an e-mail from my inbox, which is obviously spam, :mad: with out opening it. Thanks.

    ...what service are you using... Yahoo... Hotmail... or what...

    ...usually, there is a little box that you can click on beside the email... and another where you can click delete...

    drag it and drop it on the outlook recycle bin, if you are using outlook. Or arrow down and hit delete.

    Am using outlook express... I tried "arrow up" (had to to get to it) but it opened!
    Can't find any recycle bin on my Outlook Express.

    Hi raef

    It sounds like you have the Preview Pane enabled in Outlook Express.
    To close the Preview Pane,
    View > Layout
    Uncheck: Show Preview Pane
    Apply, OK to save and close.

    If your habit is to use the Preview Pane, you can add the Preview Pane button to Outlook Express' toolbar.
    Right click on the toolbar, select: Customize, scroll to the Preview icon, double click it to add to the toolbar.

    You can then toggle the Preview Pane on and off with a single mouse click.

    The Deleted Items folder is where you want to drag the message.
