I am currently using a Dell Inspiron E1505 with Microsoft XP and a couple of weeks ago I carelessly deleted powerdvd thinking it was unimportant.. However, now dvds will not play in the dvd rom.. When I looked in the recycle bin it was already gone since I deleted it some time ago. I was hoping someone could tell me what to do or if there is a free program out there that does pretty much the same thing that would be great. When I run Windows Media Player and try to play the dvd it gives me the error message: Windows Media Player cannot play the DVD because a compatible dvd decoder is not installed on your computer.
