I have over 5,000 emails accumulated on my computer. Is there a quick and simple to delete them? What about "searching" for some that I might want to save. Obviously, not very computer literate. Thanks

what program for email are you using
    Windows live mail - thunderbird - ???
Or do you log into the email via a webpage ?

Whats the bit after the @ on your email - DO NOT post all the email address - just the @gmail.com @btinternet.com etc

you can click on the square box on the menu bar - with "delete" , "move" etc
that will select all on the page and then delete
you can also click on any emails you want to keep and unselect

you can also search mail and find certain emails you want to keep and move to a different folder
OR search for emails you want to delete and delete
