I recently tried printing out a paper for class, and my black ink has faded. I immediately thought that I was out of ink, but I checked my computer and it says that there is still half left. I tried printing it out in color and it worked. I even tried Dell's suggestion of "cleaning the nozzles" but that didn't work either. Any suggestions??? Thanks!

If you have not used the printer for a while it may be that the ink has become congealed and head cleaning wont unblock it.

Does that mean it's useless now, or is there anyway to fix it?

You should try a new cartridge.
