Hi All,
I have a quick questions that i hope someone can help me with.
I reformated a dell demension 4300 for a friend and came to find out that she didn't have the right recovery disks. I then had to add Windows 98 second edition instead of Xp. Everything works great except I have no audio. I have searched for the audio drivers for this computer and have downloaded them. I still can't get any audio. When I go to device manager I see that the audio multi-media is flagged. It says that the driver's are not installed and I can't figure out which driver I need to install.

Can any one suggest a solution?

Thanks
Jim

Did you ever get the 4300 working properly. I have one that belonged to my mother that I tried to upgrade to w2k. It was running ME very slowly. I put a new HD in and installed 2k and the thing is still slower than my P1 166. Tried all the drivers from dell to no avail. Any suggestions?
