    Hi all,

We have a new Dell Insp 15-3552, its about 2 months old or so. I have it attached to an extra monitor and leave it plugged in charging all day with the Laptop screen closed. I have noticed when I disconnect the HDMI chord and the poser chord and open the screen there are times when it will not re-awaken. The screen remains black even if I type on the keyboard. If I tap the power buttton it doesn't do anything either. I have also held the power button down for 5 seconds and nothing happens.

What I end up having to do is to hold the power button down 10 seconds and will hear it power down and then have to restart each time.

Is there something deffective or is there something I can do? I have checked sleep mode and I have the hard drive set to never.

thanks in advance for any help.

If you leave the power cord and HDMI lead connected does it 'wake up' ok when you open the lid ?
Also try with just one left connected. You could try 'Hibernate' instead if nothing else helps.
