I have a Dell Inspiron 350, which has been very reliable. My wife shut it down while we were on vacation. Now when we try to get it to boot up from a cold start, the blue power light comes on, the fan runs, and it beeps at us, but never goes beyond that. I've tried the unplug/wait/plug back, and have no success. Any suggestions, or is it terminal? Would a new hard drive be worth putting in? Thanks:)

    Welcome to TSG,

Does it beep once or more than once? Have you tried another monitor? Start by trying another monitor.

The hard drive is not the issue here as a hard drive is not an essential component of the PC and not required for for video output which is basic functionality.

Also, I've changed the title of the thread from your name to a more meaningful one.
