    The computer powers up then
1 beep , solid blue light on power switch.
Removed the CMOS battery left out overnight installed new 2032 battery
Same start up, the progress bar stops 1/2 way , also the keyboard will not light up on any USB port
    But the mouse lights up.
Removed and reseated the ram, removed the pny video card and switched to on board VGA
    Same thing.
Unplugged the DVD and hard disk same thing just gets stuck on splash screen.
Any other thoughts or tricks would be greatly appreciated.
    Howard

    Do NOT flash the BIOS.

Metallica5456 Did you read the post? Howard said nothing about flashing the BIOS.
That should only be done as a last resort or if there is a very good reason for wanting to update it.

I meant flash as to CLEAR the BIOS not UPDATE it. I know very well that a BIOS UPDATE should only be done as alast resort. I apologize for ANY confusion. I apologize for any confusion. Thank you Dave though for correcting my post and clarifying.
