Hi all, you were a great help on my last question. Since I am not real computer savy, I need to know if on an Inspiron 8200 laptop, is the processor easily replaced like on a desktop? I currently have a 1.20 gigahertz Intel Pentium 4. I would like to put a faster processor. I know on a desktop, they just plug in. Is the Inspiron that way or is it soldiered to the Mother Board. If it can be replaced easily, then I would like to do so. I hope you can help me. Thanks

Most laptops are not that upgradable.

    Howdy folks...

The Inspiron 8200 uses a Mobile CPU, those are soldered onto the motherboard...

    Sorry :( ...

That's the problem with laptops nowadays ( as I see it ), the're not very upgradeable as far as the video and CPU goes...
