A client brought me his laptop (dell Inspiron N5010) and said it wouldn't connect to the internet, i tried wireless (Broadcom DW1501) and ethernet (Realtek PCIe FE) and niether work, i then booted Linux Ubuntu 11.04 and the broadcom adapter connects fine, no problems, so i think it might be a driver problem, but i can't connect the computer to the internet so i can't update the driver, my client also said that he had a virus but fixed that, should i try a system restore?

You list your experience as Advanced, and your post sounds like you run some type of repair service. You don't know how to download drivers on another computer?

Have you checked the dell website for that model of computer to find the drivers for that model of laptop whether xp, vista, or windows 7?Since its a dell the service tag on it will make sure you get the correct drivers for that model.

I suppose you can mark it as solved since the computer has been returned to the owner.
