I have a dell laptop that is connect to a samsung monitor. the dell laptop is like 14 15 inch and the samsung monitor is like 25 26 inch. I wanted to use extend display on the laptop. the laptop is set as primary and the monitor is secondary. I am able to drag stuff to the monitor however when i enlarge some boxes like IE explorer, it does not fit to the screen and is like over the edge abit. How do i make it so that it can fit to screen.

I have try figuring and adjusting the resolution but still it does not fix to the screen exactly.

Beforehand the user has a hp laptop and larger in screen like 21 22inch and connected to the samsung monitor. Someone help to adjust it to fit it to the samsung screen. so it mean the samsung monitor does not have problem. I do not know how he manage to fix it. Anyone experience this issue before?

Probably, but you need to be patient as most people are probably enjoying their Saturday morning and 1 1/2 hours is generally not enough time for a bump; we generally recommend you wait 24 hours before bumping up your thread.

Now to your problem. You need to post the exact model numbers of the HP laptop, ie DV4-1234us, and the exact model of the monitor, ie. LG L245WT. You should also pot how you have the monitor connected, ie. VGA/D-D-Sub, DVI, HDMI, DisplayPort, etc.

It certainly sounds like you have the resolution set wrong or you have used a zoom feature of the monitor.

    hi triple6,

thanks for the reply, the laptop model is latitude E6230 and the monitor is hp w2207h. they are connected via vga cable.

I have call dell about this and they guide me through at first they reinstall the video driver and does not work, later on they do a system restore, it seem to work at first but after we disconnect the vga and plug it in the issue seem to come back.

    Anyone got any suggestions? thanks.

How do i set the zoom feature of the monitor?
