From reading around I believe it may be because my integrated wireless card is turned off can anyone direct me how I turn this on?
If anyone knows any other reason why it may not be working this would also be helpful.

    Many Thanks!

Most Dell laptops, hold the Fn key and push F2 to turn wireless on and off.
Usually can also be enabled in Properties for the card. Device Manager, Network Adapters, right clickk the name and select Properties from the list or double click the name.
