I have recently installed WD Blue 1 TB Hard Disk. After installation my Dell monitor's (20 inch) resolution
    has been changed. Tried to setting the resolution - it's Landscape - 800 x 600 (lowest) and 1600 x 1200 (highest). I have set it 1440 x 900 but icons , letters, images appearing bigger. When setting 1600 x 1200
icons , letters, images appearing normal but vertically pressed (looking pressed from up down). No option is
working properly. Screen resolution is not only abnormal but also hurting eyes. Kindly help.

    System info -

    Windows 7
    Service pack 1
    AMD Athlon II X2 260 3.2 GHz
    32 bit
    Internet security - Kaspersky

After you installed Windows 7 SP1 32-bit in that new Western Digital Blue 1 TB hard drive, did you install the drivers for your computer's devices?

Assuming it's a factory-brand one and not a self-built one, what's the brand name and model name and model number of your computer?

You didn't answer my first question.
If it's a self-built computer, advise us what the brand name and model number of its motherboard is.
If it has an actual graphic/video card, advise us what its description is.

Your computer has an ASUS M5A78L-M LX motherboard.
According to its specifications section, it has an ATI Radeon HD 3000 integrated graphic device.

Are you using its integrated graphic device or is there a separate graphic card installed that you're using?
Have you installed the graphic driver?

    Right-click Computer, then click Properties.
When the system properties window appears, click "Device Manager".
When the Device Manager window appears, double-click the "Display Adapters" heading.
What's the exact description of the device?
    Double-click that device.
In the "General" tab, does it show that device as working properly?
In the "Driver" tab, what's the driver version and driver date?

    Answer ALL 3 questions.

You didn't answer my first question, so I still haven't confirmed the description of the graphic device in your computer.
