desk top short cuts windows 7

    I have windows 7 and would like to put icons on my desk top, I keep getting an error message.
    Can not create short cut, disk is full.
    If anybody can Help.

    try lowering the "User Account Control/permissions"

    i have lowered permissions, but made no difference.

    Win 7 32 bit
    clean install
    200gb on win 7 partition.

    Check wether you have full control permissions for the "all users" folder in "users" on the C drive. Sometime i find that for whatever reason, creating new items on the desktop route to all users rather than your actual user folder.
