Im running into problems with my computer freezing pretty frequently. It will freeze up sometimes on desktop with out anything running
My system
win98
asus a7v 133
thunderbird 800 mhz
384mb ram
asus g-force 256 video card
sb live sound card
20 gig HD.
I do alot of tech work on computers and never have re-occuring problems. I just got the motherboard because the other one was faulty and was blowing my ram sticks. And thats what I narrowed the problem down to. But I was Wrong.
I was told that an 800 mhz processor was to powerful to use on windows 98 and thats what was causing my problems.
It is really hard to diagnose the problem because it doesnt do it frequent enough to start removing hardware to get to the problem. Is there anything that you can suggest?
