I have an Icon on my desktop that I am unable to remove.
I've tried right click but there is no delete option, I've also tried to remove it using explorer, Tweaku, add/remove programs and finally Unistaller.
If anyone can help me. :(
    I have Windows ME

It's a icon for Virgin.net (ISP) which is put there 'till you have installed the software, but in my case it stayed.

You can likeky remove it using the Registry.

Go to start>Run and type regedit. Press Enter

    Navigate to:

    HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\Desktop\NameSpace

There will be subkeys under NameSpace. Click on each of these and look in the right pane to find out what it is. When you find the entry you are looking for, right click the subkey in the left pane and choose delete from the menu.

Thanks Mosaic, I gave that a go but without success. I even renamed the icon with an identifier name to make sure I got the exact reg entry.

So it reappears when you delete the reg key?
Uninstall the Virgin software, then reinstall it.
