Desktop to many Icons

    This one is for one of my friends

    When windows 98 is booted there are about 30 of every icons you can delete them but each time you turn the computer on they come back

    He does not have recovery disk is there another way to fix this hope it is easy

    After your friend deletes the icons, have him/her reboot. That should hold the change.

    If they just shut down and then boot up again, things usually go back the way they were.

    Right click your start button>choose open>double click the programs folder>double click the start up folder>are the program icons that keep coming back listed here?
