*Desktop PC - old Sony TV

Im trying to connect my Sony kv25f1u to my pc using a monitor port - scart lead. When I turn both on the TV simply flickers with a black background, when I turn the PC off the TV goes to solid black with no flickering. I have tried changing settings for both and have read many previous forum posts but unfortunately nothing has worked or even helped :(

I just want to make sure there is absolutly no way of this working before I go buy a new TV.

    Thanks in advance, Joey.

    Hi, thanks for the reply.

I think I am using a VGA - Scart lead, it has 3 rows of 5 prongs on the PC end, and a scart on the other. I plug it into the socket where I would usually have my monitor on the tower of my desktop PC. I dont think that my tower has any other outputs although there are some sockets which I am unable to identify.

Will have a look at the links you provided now.

    Thanks again, Joey.
