I came back from uni after a term and turned on my desktop. Obviously it had a load of updates to install so I let it get on with that and then shut it down when it was done. When I came to turn it back on again I got nothing. Pressing the power button did nothing. I had a look inside and noticed that when the power was on, an led on the motherboard lit up, so obviously the power supply is working. Any ideas?

A little background on the PC - it was a Dell inspiron 530s, the s meaning slim, but I replaced the graphics card it came with with a low profile nVidia 9600GT. However, this required a beefier PSU which did not fit in the case so the PSU is hanging out the back with the wires going in where normally you would put the kettle lead. It was running Vista 32bit until its untimely death.
