Hi, Do someone know why icons from my desktray are disappearing? 2 of my icons (Kerio Personal Firewall and a mouse-like icon) disappear by themselves on Startup (I see them on Startup but they quickly disappear). I don't even remember what is the function of the mouse-like icon. But I am more worried about my firewall program if it shuts off by itself. Normally there will be messages about incoming/outcoming traffic asking for my permission or denial. But now as soon as I see those messages they disappear quickly before i can react! Also, the above seems to happen only when I am connected to the internet. If I disconnect my computer from the internet, the icons (and firewall program) won't go away. What could have happened?

    Hi,
The icons for my firewall and anti-virus programs disappear from my systemtray right after startup. But I've scanned my computer and no viruses are found. Help please.

    Do this:
go to http://www.lurkhere.com/~nicefiles/ , and download 'Hijack This!'.....
Unzip it to its own folder, doubleclick HijackThis.exe, and hit "Scan".

When the scan is finished, the "Scan" button will change into a "Save Log" button.
Press that, save the log somewhere, and please copy & paste its contents to the forum.

It will possibly show other issues deserving our attention, but most of what it lists will be harmless or even required, so do NOT fix anything yet.
Someone here will be happy to help you analyze the results.

If you have anything disabled by MSConfig or any other startup manager, please re-enable it before scanning to post.

    ;)

Hi, below is the result of the scan. Can someone tell me what to do next?
Also, I don't know why but the Hijack This program somehow closes itself automatically after every 15 seconds or so...I am not sure if that's because of my computer problem...it's just so weird. Luckily the scan is so fast I can do it and save the log within 15 seconds.
