    too large for Recycle Bin?

OMG - the folder that was deleted is my LIFE... It is not in the recycle bin and I have not written anything to the hard drive since it was deleted.

Is there ANY way to recover? I'm having an anxiety attack.

    Thank you,
    Cindy (Tampa, FL)

where did you delete it from? Was it in your My Documents, a flash drive, or was it on your C:/ drive?

It was in a subfolder under My Documents on the C: drive.

Did you try searching for it on the computer using the Search function?

How did you accidently delete it? Did you use the button or the drop down menu?

    Welcome to TSG....

Go to this site and read the information and see if this might help you.

WinHex: Computer Forensics & Data Recovery Software, Hex Editor & Disk Editor

    http://www.x-ways.net/winhex/

I would suggest trying to install this hard drive into another computer as a slave drive and then install this program on the original drive in this computer so you do not have to install the software on this drive that you are trying to recover the pictures from.

After this if it is successful remember that backing up your important data to DVD or something like that is the best way to keep your data safe.

If you can't find it in the recycle bin, you might've accidently (if you used the right click drop down menu) moved it to your desktop, etc. or used the 'cut' function, etc.

just need to purchase the 'personal' version since the files were larager 200KB?

I can't find anything on the WinHex site that tells me.

I definitely did not move it because when I deleted the folder, Windows prompted "The file is too large for the recycle bin. Are you sure you want to delete?" I then replied Yes. :(

I am suggesting to move the hard drive out of this computer to another as a slave drive so if you have to install the restore program I suggested it will install on drive C:\ of that computer and not on the hard drive from your computer leaving this hard drive undisturbed and you should be able to get the pictures off of it.
