I'm trying to set up a network between two computers to run a track meet. I've followed the directions according to the instructions, setting up the TCP/IPv4 correctly on both computers. When I ping the 2nd computer I get a destination host unreachable message. How do I fix this?

First step is to trouble shoot to determine the cause.

If you want help from somebody you need to describe your network and computers (with respect to the network).

I'm trying to set up a static IP on the computers. One is for the camera and one computer is for the meet management. The instructions are to go to the local area connection and set the camera computer to 192.168.0.5 (255.255.255.0) and the meet management to 192.168.0.90 (255.255.255.0). Then ping from the camera computer to the meet management computer. So when I ping 192.168.0.90 from 192.168.0.5, i get this message:
Reply from 192.168.0.5: Destination host unreachable

Ping from the other direction works?

Are the firewalls allowing pings (ICMP)?

This is now marked "Solved." Is it? If so, what was the cause/solution, please?
