After reinstalling Windows XP Pro on Dimention 4700 I lost sound and connect to the network.

Device Manager shows a yellow ? in next devices:
    Ethernet-controller
    Video controller
    Video Controller (VGA-compatible)
    Multimedia audio controller

    Advise how to fix it.
    Thank you.

Get the drivers at Dell using your ID number.

Thank you for your prompt response.
I checked for ID - my computer was built in 2005.
They offer drivers the same year of manufacture.
But why it not install a new ones during installation of Windows?
Can it be a some problem with my computer?

    Sincerely
    Leo

Windows XP setup doesn't normally install these drivers so you need to get them from Dell, or after the ethernet adapter is up and running, you can allow Windows to search for drivers for the other hardware.

What's the 7-character service tag number on the sticker of that Dell Dimension 4700?

    ---------------------------------------------------------------

Double-click each of these entries to open their properties window.

    Ethernet controller
    Video controller
    Video Controller (VGA-compatible)
    Multimedia audio controller

Click the "Details" tab and then select "Hardware Id".

You will see a string that has VEN_####&DEV_#### as part of the string.

Advise what the numbers and letters are that follow VEN_ and DEV_.

Be careful not to make any typos because those codes are what identify those devices.
