Diagnostic Policy Service

    "Running Vista as admin, but cannot start Diagnostic Policy Service. Message states: "Windows could not start the Diagnostic Policy Service service on Local Computer. Error 5: Access is denied." Network diagnostics cannot run because the Diagnostics Policy Service is not running, and windows cannot find a network to connect to."

    I searched the net and got information about system restore. I was able to do that and still can't connect to the net. When I did that, I couldn't sset my own restore date.

    Infact, the connected icon has an X on it. It always did when I had my previous connection.

    All I've done is change network provider and I can't log on to the net.
    Please help.
