Having a problem with setting up dial-up networking connection on my second computer. After doing everything right (as far as I can tell) I get to 'authorizing user and password' then it pauses for 20 - 30 seconds then I get the message "error 650: the remote server does not respond to a network request".

I have checked settings for the dial-up-netowrking, the network are in the control panel, modem settings, etc. I have the primary computer to compare to which connects just fine.
Both PCs are using Win98. The second machine is an AMD k6-350. It has a Supra 56k modem in it and has worked sucessfully on dial-out before to my old service provider.

    Please help!

Did you use your ISP downloaded settings or did you manually change them?

The answer is Both. I have used the connection manager from their software (it's ATT worldnet) and setting up a dial-up networking entry with manual entries. Result is the same.......
